The Brookside Knits was formed by Sue Suzenski with a core group of Brookside Country Club members with an interest in knitting. The concept of the loosely organized group was simply “to sit and knit”.

The Brookside Knitters turned their attention to fundraising and charity, mainly for the benefit of the Pottstown Relay for Life. The group knits, crochets, and collects items for direct donation, where ever yarn creations can lend comfort and support.

Our yearly gathering raises funds for Pottstown Relay for Life. We also promote and accept donations for the Pottstown Memorial Medical Center such as hats for newborns, chemo caps, and “knitted knockers“.
